The popular phrase in politics "the quiet part out loud" originates from The Simpsons
    00:00
there’s a genre of phrases that sound like they’re from the bible or like paradise lost, but really, really aren’t. like β€œthere are cathedrals everywhere for those with the eyes to see” which is ofc a jordan peterson tweet about a bottle of evian. what are the others?

that's actually a good supervillain idea for a show like Invincible or Harley Quinn

Just because there aren't 10,000 Twitter accounts with a profile picture of an artist artificially boosting their numbers doesn't mean they don't have fans. If anything, it means Adele is an even more legit popular artist.

Today I turned 24. Cancer could have killed me last year. I consider it a massive gift to see my 24th birthday. Down three tumours, six inches of hair, and one kidney. It really changes the way you look at life. No matter how terrible the world is, the only way is forward.

I can't remember who pointed it out, but the MCU trinity has very distinct arcs. Tony has a typical hero arc. Thor has a hero arc over and over (fitting a Norse god). Steve has a reverse arc. He starts perfect and becomes flawed, eventually doing something for himself for once.

This is Indiana, Harlow and Reese. Harlow only sleeps well in the center of a dachshund sandwich. Thankfully, Indiana and Reese are always available. 14/10 for all
a gray weimaraner rests her chin on the arm of a sofa. one arm is tucked over a dappled dachshund with a black and tan face. resting on the weimaraner’s head is a second dachshund, this one chocolate and tan. all three have their eyes closed in peaceful slumber. probably dreaming of sandwiches.

I 100% agree and support this tweet but I'm still a little miffed that you called Donald Glover "a stand up comedian"

The third one is r/bonehealingjuice There's also r/soulcrushingjuice but I stopped going there because it became genuinely triggering to me. Good content though

Yesterday the man LITERALLY just exploited his friend's s**cide to attack someone and now he apparently can't call someone fat and ugly? What kind of priorities does this "manager" have?

I get that completely. Idk though, the abject horror of the way they died/will die gets to me far beyond that though. It is so terrifying that it bypasses that filter in my mind and I feel horrified for the human lives within. Maybe it's the way I was raised.

I'm not putting it on "them". SNL is still a funny show with a bunch of very talented creatives on it. I'm putting it on Lorne Michaels and Lorne Michaels alone.

That was exactly my initial thought too but then I actually watched it.
