    Pinatubo was a brilliant two-year-old and still has the potential to win top races at 3, but his defeat does remind me how remarkable Frankel was to be a champion at 2, 3 and 4.

    My uncle Jim died late last night. I grew up without a dad, so he was the closest thing I had to one and was the person who got me interested in racing. I’m desperately sad I never properly told him how grateful I am for all that he did for me.

    On Grand National day the darker corners of social media are always occupied by people who claim to love animals but lack any knowledge of what it means to care for them. Roy Rocket dispels their arguments - he wouldn’t have swapped his career as a racehorse for anything else.

    This is my dog. He’s an animal that has been bred for my pleasure. If he were a racehorse, Animal Rising would want him taken away from me and released to fend for himself in the wild. These people are mad.

    🚨 We have just released some new functionality onto attheraces.com which pulls trainer quotes from our Stable Tours into the form page for horses. This enables users to see what a trainer has said about the horse in the past (highlighted below). 🧵
