I hope my GOP colleagues never have to do what I’m currently doing and that is standing outside your kids school with hundreds of cops and watch a tactical unit assemble

- I’m emotionally, physically & spiritually exhausted but I’m mostly disappointed & disgusted by the lack of action & courage by my GOP colleagues to do anything to protect our kids from gun violence. People will forgive you for trying, they will never forget you doing nothing!The 113th General Assembly stands adjourned until noon on January 9, 2024 or until the Governor calls us back for a Special Session. We will continue the work you sent us here to do.
- I am amazed at all the millions of dollars coming into rural Tennessee and they have no idea that Biden is the reason for the funding. Especially the rural right wing broadband folks, he brought it home to you, THANK HIM!!!!

- This is ridiculous. When a citizen takes time out of their life to watch their government and get treated like they live in Russia or some totalitarian regime. Our trooper leadership needs to tell GOP leadership they are not going to violate citizens’ rights anymore. @THP_ColonelAllison Polidor, who was holding a small sign protesting a GOP plan for school vouchers, refused to leave when House Speaker Cameron Sexton ordered troopers to clear the chamber's west gallery. - Dark day in Tennessee! If you don’t like someone’s opinion, the TN GOP silences them. It looks like East Berlin in the eighties outside our chamber with the amount of security for school children.
- Amazed I sat through a state of the state address by the Gov. of TN in a speech of 50 minutes and he never mentioned the word Covid, virus, vaccine, pandemic or the more than 22,000 Tennesseans who have died. In a state that is 46th in vaccination & 5th in deaths per capita.
- Unfortunately, I agree with Mellencamp. I have said many times that if my GOP colleagues had to see the crime scene photos of Sandy Hook or Uvalde they would step up in the name of humanity. DNA has to be the identifying factor since these children were beyond recognition.Statement from @johnmellencamp: “Stop playing silly political games.
