Toronto police has responded to TIFF statement about their concerns for "the event operations and public safety": In a statement to CBC, the Toronto Police Service said the decision to pause screenings was made by event organizers, and not based on Toronto Police recommendation.

Highlights from today's demonstration at the TIFF Lightbox. Shame on @TIFF_NET organizing a showing of the russian propaganda. It was a really scary protest. More police presence than usual. What are you scared of TIFF ? Women and children ? Shame.
