Sudan is literally on the verge of officially being declared a famine, millions at risk of starvation. Yet people are already dying of hunger right now and we know it’s only going to get worse. There’s no need to wait for an official famine declaration, let’s take action now.

When we Sudanese mention boycotting the UAE, we’re mocked and told it’s just an ‘internal conflict.’ We’re told our suffering doesn’t matter as much as Palestine’s and that at least the UAE is a Muslim country. I wonder what those people think of this news.

Although I hate the Assad regime. I will never forget that CNN’s Clarissa Ward also faked getting kidnapped by an armed group in Sudan and before that also faked coming under direct fire by Hamas. She’s determined to make herself the centre of every story she covers.

Although the protest was a success, I hope next time non-Sudanese would also participate and show solidarity. The UAE is killing Sudanese people silently and the world is letting them get away with it. It shouldn’t just be “Sudanese in London” protesting. It should be everyone!
