I have a friend who was a high ranked Navy Pilot, flew in war & then flew commercial. She used to get hit on in the airline lounges by male pilots, who assumed she was a flight attendant - until her entire crew came to tell her they were ready to board! Their faces!

OMG - 1. Microwaved water? 2. Milk in before the t-bag? 3. No steeping of t-bag? You need to take that Union Jack off the Tweet.

My husband died yesterday in an NHS hospital. Altho terminal w cancer, the 'care' this past week was shambolic neglect, devoid of compassion No one should die like that #BrokenSystem

Why does there have to be that extreme event? Women are free to walk on just because they don't want to shake his hand. We don't need to explain.

It's not work shaming; it's calling out the assumption that women will never be pilots, which some of us have actually heard. (Also traffic control.)

And how patronizing he was. Using that little, calm voice as if she were a 3 year old needing a nap.

Other people's marriages are indeed no one else's business until one of the partners is placed at risk of harm by the behaviour of the other, and this is no exception.

He said "African Americans and immigrants" in the same breath. What is that all about. African Americans ARE Americans.

He's not 'speaking agst popular opinion'. He's encouraging boys & young men to demean half the population. Respect & equality for women is not an opinion, it's a basic human right.

Yeah, that's quite often used to dismiss the lack of female representation.

Even more so with some of the outraged comments, demanding that the women 'should have' shaken his hand. No. Women don't owe men a handshake just because they demand it.

Why aren't Brits more alarmed about this. As someone who lived in the US for 27 yrs till recently - we do NOT want insurance-based healthcare.
