This morning I was informed that a 10-month-old baby allegedly ingested fentanyl while playing in the grass at Moscone Park in District 2, and that Narcan was administered by our EMTs to revive the child.

Today I am calling for a hearing and sending a formal letter of inquiry to San Francisco's public safety agencies regarding rearrests and parole.

San Francisco's failure to prioritize in-person education is an unprecedented crisis. Let's have debates about renaming when—and only when—we have returned our children to school.

We cannot deny what we see all around us. People don’t feel safe in our City anymore. And sadly, with Chesa Boudin in office, they have little reason to expect that to change.

This is beyond the pale. San Franciscans should have confidence that their tax dollars are being used effectively to deliver results, not to overpay for so-called studies that make contractors look good to the tune of half a million dollars.
The $500,000 study involved two people walking each block of the Tenderloin a single time in 2018, 2019 and 2022. sfstandard.com/public-health/…

Commissioner, this sends the absolute wrong message. Shootings have spiked over the course of the past year, killing far too many young people in our city. If you’re not up for the task of keeping all San Franciscans safe, you should step aside.

    Replying to @Stefani4CA
San Franciscans deserve accountability not only from those who commit crimes, but also from their government. That’s why this Tuesday, I'll be calling for legislation to require transparency, not excuses, from the DA’s Office.

It is outrageous that a convicted felon who shot at people with a semi-automatic handgun this month was released from county jail using COVID-19 as an excuse. No reason we can’t protect both public safety and public health of inmates. The safety of the public should be paramount.

This billboard sends the wrong message. City funds should not be used for this purpose. Take it down.

Yesterday, I held a hearing on SFPD staffing and revealed that the department is currently 570 officers short of the level necessary to meet the demand for service. rb.gy/9i9sir

This is egregious. Our city should be bending over backwards to support small businesses - not drowning them in unnecessary fines.

This past June, San Franciscans chose to prioritize safety and security over excuses and slogans. I’m thrilled to congratulate @BrookeJenkinsSF on her appointment and I know that she will do everything that she can to make San Francisco safer for all.

This data confirms what San Franciscans have known to be true: there is a crisis of accountability in our criminal justice system.
