Elden Ring DLC Lore Spoilers
Elden Ring shouldn't have translated this location to "Shaman Village" as I don't think an English audience understands the explicitly female connotations of the name and its significance to Marika's overarching story.
Thank you for everything, @EsfandTV ! You know how to make anyone fall in love with Texas. You're one of my best friends, you saved my 2021, and I hope we get the chance to hang out again some day soon.
P.S. Please take good care of my big avocado, he is very sensitive.
Your parents are required by law to feed you, clothe you, take care of you. That is the BASIC MINIMUM that is legally required of them. Don't let them or anybody use that to guilt you into thinking what you did was wrong. Don't let anyone tell you that you have to keep it private
If your parents are embarrassed about how they're treating you in private, it means they shouldn't be treating you that way, not that you shouldn't let people know its happening!
It's okay to love your parents AND hold them accountable.
Thank you again @FF_XIV_EN for the opportunity! The extended interview with @RichWCampbell and @Asmongold is going up now! You've shown us a great deal of compassion and friendship. It reminds me so much of the way I felt making friends for the first time in game #FFXIVmediatour
The location is called ๅทซๅญใฎๆ and while Miko literally means "female shaman", it's specifically about Shrine Maidens.
When it is just translated to "Shaman", we end up invoking the west's nebulous conceptions of what a Shaman is, which in western fantasy is typically male.
