We're asking that standing charges on Pre Paid meters be scrapped. These charges put people into debt when they use no electricity or gas. When they do put £10 in, it's swallowed by the accumulated debt. Most of the people we support are on this expensive tariff @ofgem

Just 4 people sleeping on the streets of Glasgow. A truly remarkable achievement, unmatched by any other European City. Every day working with partners to prevent and respond to rough sleeping @GCHSCP @GCMcare @TheMarieTrust1 @GlasgowCPolice @TheHFGlasgow #LHM @NHSGGC_HHS

Huge thanks to member of public alerting us (0800 027 7466) to young man sleeping at bridge on Clyde. First time rough sleeping, 3 cold nights. No more, we've found him and he's now safe and getting support from @GlasgowCC #streetteam

Glasgow has the lowest number of people rough sleeping of any city in Europe. This is made possible by services working jointly to respond immediately with compassion and solutions to people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Find out more here: bit.ly/3FDB50I

The number of people rough sleeping in Glasgow is less than 5. A remarkable achievement by any standard & arguably the lowest of any major city in Europe! Made possible by the determination of a multiagency response and support from @scotgov. People do make Glasgow! #OneTeam

We met the hotels on Friday, received the funding Saturday, thrashing out details Sunday, pulling team together Monday. Please don't call our already really busy Street Team, we're working as hard and as fast as we can to make this happen #streetteam

Our #streetteam manager was in Mountain Warehouse ordering rucksacks & after she left the gentleman who was behind her paid £300 for the order without saying a word and insisting he remains anonymous. Whoever you are, thank you for being wonderful #simonscotland

Friday talking. Saturday funding. Sunday planning and tonight delivering. We are up and running and already have 8 people off the street. We have amazing Street Team who can deliver a new service in 72 hours when already under immense pressure. Love #OneTeam Thanks @scotgov

Last month, a young man (26) spent 2-nights sleeping in Glasgow Green when the temperature was minus 4. Our Street Team worked to get the man into one of our supported accommodation flats & we were grateful that we were allowed to take some pictures this week.

Over last 4 weeks we diverted 46 people away from rough sleeping in Glasgow and into safe, secure and supported accommodation. There are still 6 very vulnerable people on the streets and we connect with them multiple times a day, we won't give up #streetteam
