- Legendary sportswriter Bob Hammel informing @IndianaMBB coach Mike Woodson that he got his first Big Ten win much quicker than his mentor (Bob Knight). @BigTenNetwork @daily_hoosier @TheMopLady @HoosierHystrcs @AssemblyCall
00:00 - Prayers up for @WayneHSFootball coach Sherwood Haydock, who is currently in the ICU at Parkview following a recent back surgery. Coach and his family need our prayers and support right now, so please pray for God’s healing hands on coach!
- Officer Payne is also one of the best officials/umps/referees in NE Indiana. What makes him so good? He’s approachable, he doesn’t take himself too seriously and he’s GREAT with the kids!On Tuesday, Trine University held the first of a series of “Trine Together” events. The keynote and conversation featured guest speaker Officer James Payne, an 18-year veteran of the Fort Wayne Police Department. #TrineTogether bit.ly/334q6d8
- Player priority #1 for IU’s new BB coach: get @lukegoode10 locked in and build from there. Luke is the consummate “team” player and bleeds Cream & Crimson. He will be a key building block for Year One success. #iubb
00:00- My two favorite “local” zebras are James Payne and Jeff Lytle. Why? They’re approachable, fair and great with the kids. I’ve personally seen both admit when they’ve missed a call. They move on from it and continue to do their best. As coaches and fans (and media), so should we.Why do high school officials deserve our respect? Because they protect the integrity of the game. They sacrifice their free time to serve. They care about students and their communities. Want to suit up? Sign up today! #BecomeAnOfficial highschoolofficials.com/?share=NFS-010…
00:00- @SidelineSwami1 and the entire GameNight crew toiled and soiled while putting this awards poster together. Tough decisions had to be made, but I promise you that we did our very best. Lots of great players were left off; the unfortunate part of doing one.
- The end of an era. Competitive sports for this guy, and for our family, officially came to an end this past Friday night. Proud of my son, and all of my children, for playing “the game” the right way in whatever sport they pursued. It’s been a wonderful ride!
- @BishopLuersFB dads are miracle workers! Luersfield looks pristine from my magic carpet vantage point, setting up ideal conditions tomorrow night as undefeated Eastside comes calling in the rubber match for a sectional championship.
- One year ago this very week, the @BDSaintsFB family said goodbye to freshman standout Clayten Stuart. Tonight, the Saints upset Snider 42-20 in a win for the ages. Somehow, I can’t help but think that Clayten was watching every play.
- Congratulations to Eastside QB @LabanDavis for being named GameNight’s Player of the Year. Very deserving, young man! @USF_Football is getting an absolute steal with this kid. @EastsideScores
