- AWFUL NEWS: I'm told longtime La Crescent-Hokah baseball coach Rick Boyer passed away unexpectedly last night. I'm absolutely heartbroken. One of the all-time great guys I've come across. Condolences to the Boyer family and the La Crescent-Hokah community.

- Central, West Salem and Bangor boys all headed to State. I guess they play some pretty damn good basketball in La Crosse County (pop. about 120,000).
- BREAKING: The La Crosse Center will host the WIAA State Girls and Boys Basketball Tournaments this season. It will be one of two venues.
- Former Holmen head coach and current @UWLEagleFB assistant Steve King has been selected to the WFCA Hall of Fame for 2021 according to the Holmen HS Facebook page.
