I still remember when no bank gave me loan for my JV to start a 15 bedded hospital.
Pledged family gold &was difficult sticking my neck out paying monthly EMIs
Now that we have upgraded to 30 bedded with ICU/NICU, I would always swear for those who try & stumble, yet keep going.

- Replying to @mindmuscleproYou comfortably forgot that the vada is made of urad dhal which has 25% protein and idli is made with rice and urad dhal. Sambhar has toor dal and pongal has mung dhal. Coconut chutney also has protein. Idly, vada and sambar/ chutney will give you 1/4 of your protein requirement
- #Salem has Better infrastructure than Trichy Cleaner than Madurai ( corporation in salem has better waste management and city is less dusty) Placed centrally than Kovai to Chennai Bangalore and Kochi ( all are 6 hrs by road) Need- airport expansion and night landing facilities
- Usually I don't lose my cool in front of patients. But this pregnant mother is roaming around with severe anemia, advised blood transfusion elsewhere 2 mo back, never had & landed in M college. I initially talked to them nicely, wrote their case sheet and entrusted to a intern.
- Running a small hospital is a tight rope game. The sort of informal money that officials demand is insane. Dei, we run around day &night, talking, doing surgeries, counselling patients, & these tribe's asking rate is so irritating. Group 1 exams are so easy than my mbbs subjects
- Conducted vaginal delivery for twins and taught the process to a single student like how a professor would teach in class (To My son who has come on leave.) Nepotism? So be it. We strived for it as family And he showed interest in learning.
- Bad day for me. Sitting for internal assessment and the candidate presenting as "patient was apparently normal before 8 months and then she developed amenorrhoea". (For pregnancy) Luckily didn't add insidious onset and gradually progressive.
- Manimuthar, a once in a while tributary of river Cauvery, otherwise a storm drain of Salem, is now flowing with good infliw from the hills. This is third consecutive year where I am seeing this river carrying good inflow. @ravikeerthi22, @kalyanasundarsv
- Replying to @thekaipullaiI remember travelling from KGF to Bellary during my mbbs days, in the only available bus from home to college, the head rest being iron rod. With potholed roads, by the time we reach bellary, the head would be swollen.
- Delivery on a Deepavali day😍🎇🎉, along with our pediatrician, Dr Vijay Raghavan
- Replying to @naveenkopparamMy father did this. He had 3 kids, and we never needed a bigger house than our 1BHK house. The TV fridge mixie grinder were the only luxuries. I think we live in an era of comparative living comforts. My monthly subscriptions themselves would fund the lifestyle we lived then.
- Replying to @SaravanakumarOGafter scolding and threatening that I would post their details in the private Govt doctors whatasapp group ,so that they would be picked up by nearby asha worker to get her admitted in GH, now they have come back with admission case sheet 🤦♂️
- Replying to @karthik2k2When I go around the place, troubleshooting during surgeries or calling me for clarifications, sometimes videographing as to how to proceed, My frustrated wife tells, why don't we get as many patients as others and always fall short of minimum targets , I quote Hutchinson's
- Replying to @SaravanakumarOGNow their attender comes and tells me, they have local festival in their village, that they want to have blood transfusion and go home to attend festival. I raised my voice to tell that they have no real concern for the patient and they wouldn't be languishing for 2 months
