- Reason most Africans who secure permanent residency or just visa stop being prayerful is they notice most of their problems were governance issues. Gonna get flak for this but evangelicalism is one of the biggest enablers of bad governance in Africa. Robs citizens of agency,I'm in a matatu listening to gospel music and noticing it's a theology based on praying for social issues, which the govt can easily solve - jobs, healthcare, orphans etc Maybe this is the fundamental shift that we need - it's govt not God to fix these issues But
