    Humanitarian aid to #Tigray cannot be conditional. That’s illegal under international humanitarian law. #Ethiopia and its allies—#Eritrea and the #Amhara and #Afar regional authorities—are blocking unfettered access to Tigray. Tigrayans are fighting to not starve. #TigrayGenocide

    Much is said about “Tigrayan rebels” & “TPLF.” #Tigray Defense Force didn’t exist before Nov 2020. It’s a product of #Ethiopia’s genocidal war on Tigray. TDF is the people’s army, not TPLF’s: ordinary people—our relatives—fighting to live; to not be raped, starved, or massacred.

    #Ethiopia knows it has no ground advantage over #Tigray, so it resorts to drones & relies on #Eritrea & #Amhara for ground forces. The Tigray Defense Force is well-trained & steadfast in its resolve to defend the people of Tigray. Morale is ironclad. ዘይንድይቦ ጎቦ!

    In addition to supporting #S3199 & #HR6600, Members of Congress should press @POTUS to: 1. Designate TPS for #Ethiopia 2. Implement last year's Executive Order 3. Release @StateDept's #Tigray atrocity report 4. Direct @USTreasury to vote against more @WorldBank funding this month
