    - Absolutely NO Jumps in the weight room for starters in-season. They are getting that bucket filled from games and practice ❌ - Lower minute players will jump at least x3 a week as part of their development program. Got to keep them ready when called upon! ✅

Deficit lunge: - Be a player not a robot, replicate on court movements, move freely. - Player autonomy - YOU choose how you do the exercise - Every rep will be different - thats what we want!

As hard as we all train our athletes and with as much physical stress they are under, help them to relax, reset and recover whenever possible. I heard someone refer to S&C Coaches as stress managers. Today’s session ended with this thought in mind 😴

3 weeks into our first off-season block of training: - Increased volume (TUT/Reps/Sets) - Less of a team based GPP though than previous March/April. - I’ve had some of these guys for over 3 years, we can individualize right away @FurmanHoops @HawkinDynamics @Mike_Buhmeyer

Foot and ankle work before guys get tapped/braced everyday before practice. We wanted to turn this dead time into a productive foot/ankle prehab session. Quick and easy. Video shows Phase 3 exercises

In-season training clips of starters: - YES, you can and should train heavy in-season with high min players. - Main diff is much lower volume (reps/sets) compared to low min guys - Use exercises they are familiar with, focus on the basics. - Create a fun training environment 👍🏻

Overcoming ISOs has become a mainstay for A series in-season. 3-5 seconds of max effort, Guys are getting enough jumps both sub max and max through practice and games. Don’t want to overload this with more jumps in WR but want to keep working on max force production📈@FurmanHoops

This October we’ve bucketed guys based off their Eccentric Utilization Ratio - how well they use their stretch shortening cycle. - Low CMJ JH vs SJJH - dynamic power work - Low SJJH vs CMJ JH - static power work Using data to drive programming 📈

Elevating the heels in a squat takes out ankle mobility limitations and allows my 6”9 athletes to hit actual depth in any squat. Also allows full VMO development, which is a primary knee stabilizer, and for the athlete to hold an upright posture while squatting. 95lbs - acc phase
