Anyways if anyone's interested in looking up the injury rates and patterns of Valeri Liukin and other major US coaches, I've gathered all of that info in a blog that I plan to add to very soon:
US gym fans realizing they don't own Nadia and her legacy has been.....something.
I promise you, it is only within the US that this even runs the risk of affecting her reputation in any significant way. No one else is mad at a Romanian advocating for Romanians.
God it's really hitting me that THIS is how we're ending artistic gymnastics at the Olympics. After all these heartwarming, historic moments, we're ending with these gymnasts having to deal with this mess. I think I would have taken ending on the beam or high bar final over this.
I will never get over how several US MAG have become influencers to promote MAG, how USAG tries to sell MAG through the "buff sweaty men" avenue, and what ends up putting MAG on the map in this country is a pair of glasses and arguably the least novice fan-friendly event there is
None of the Olympics women’s gymnastics judges this year should be asked back again for the mishandling of this entire ordeal. #JordanChiles
And Romania should be penalized with ineligibility in 2028.
This is insane. There's no precedent for this, and the Romanian fed specifically said they didn't want this. There's no reason to punish Jordan for the judges' mistake.
It’s official: The IOC will have Jordan Chiles return the bronze medal and award it to Ana Barbosu.
