I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my country & rejoin the fight against COVID-19. With the leadership of President-elect Biden & VP-elect Harris, & their trust in Science, I have no doubt we’ll be able to end the pandemic & save lives. And remember, #WearAMask!

😢💔I’m heartbroken beyond words that this pandemic has now taken my mom, Jacqueline Crossman. I’ve fought to protect her & God called her home to chaperone the children heading to heaven. My beautiful mother is my rock & gave me love & support through so much. 1/

This is amazing to be able to test for 4 different viruses in a single, low-cost, in-home rapid test. This type of technology should be accelerated for review. The impact on early, appropriate treatment & breaking transmission could be remarkable.
Influenza A positive test result. Test 4 respiratory infections at the same time with the combo #Fluorecare test. Available @Measie_ : measie.com/product/4-in-1…

But how is that possible when face masks, respirators, and other PPE are now banned & criminalized in some cities and states?

The privilege of being “that guy” wearing a mask across the Heathrow airport. Of thousands of people passed during a 5 hour layover, < 20 were proudly masked to protect themselves & others from the highly contagious airborne COVID virus. #PandemicIsNotOver #DontStopNow

This is very concerning for a number of reasons 1) It took over 6 weeks to identify & report this case 2) person was bedridden, indicating someone brought virus to him 3) no contact w/ poultry (milk?) 4) outcome was fatal Very sad to see this news. Need to urgently see
NEW—The WHO & Mexico reports world’s first-ever human case & death from H5N2 bird flu (another bird flu type, not the H5N1 that’s more active lately). 59-year-old died in Mexico City and had **ZERO** exposure contact with any poultry or other animals. Close contacts negative too.

I also hear from farm workers who believe they’ve been exposed & infected w/ #H5N1, very symptomatic. They’ve reached out to @CDCgov for help, guidance, and mostly testing. They say, outreach has been ignored; no follow up, no call back, no investigation, no help getting

Please take a look at this, H5N1 is possibly spreading human to human in Oregon and people affected are being denied tests

H5N1 is spreading. 3rd human case reported; this time it’s different. How many more human cases are being missed? How is the virus changing to better infect & spread among humans? How will we know where to get meds to help people? How will we stop this virus? There’s no way

When #H5N1 news broke, I told @davidalim, “They would have to do a lot of testing before I would drink milk from one of these farms at this point" and got a lot of pushback. 3 weeks later, @US_FDA reported H5N1 in grocery store milk. It'll take up to weeks more to know if these

Please help me save lives & protect children from COVID. Please get vaccinated, tested & please wear a high quality mask (over mouth & nose). I’m in so much pain from losing my mother, trust me, I don’t want anyone else to feel this pain. 5/5

This is a huge mistake; one that will be measured in lost lives when these vaccines are needed…and they will be needed. The USG & @moderna_tx have been very productive partners for over a decade. Much investment has gone into the technology, the facility, and to the global
BREAKING: In a serious blow to US pandemic flu preparedness, HHS has cancelled a contract with Moderna to test and license prototype vaccines for #H5N1 #birdflu and other potential pandemic viruses. In a pandemic, mRNA is the fastest way to vaccine doses. statnews.com/2025/05/28/mod…

Yes, I often lament on how few people wear masks in airport & on plane. Today, I’m pleasantly surprised to see nearly every cabin crew member on @united flight 933 from FRA to IAD fully & properly masked the entire flight. Thank you @united UA 933 crew for showing you care!

We’ve progressed from counting infected cows to now counting infected people. “I have never felt that we were as close as we are now to an outbreak of avian influenza among humans.” We need to broaden testing practices now, not later. Waiting for more clusters of infection to

This is exactly what I’d expect from high path avian influenza H5N1 in many mammals. It’s a deadly virus. Any attempts to minimize the threat of this virus are irresponsible. This virus can change easily, can spread swiftly, and cause great harm. There has never been such
The postmortem exams of cats who died of #H5N1 #BirdFlu on dairy farms show devastating effects on the heart, lung, eyes, & brain. ‼️Do not consume raw (unpasteurized) dairy products. #MedTwitter, 👀 at the screenshot. #AvianFlu #IDTwitter wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/30…
