Geez. Toronto's seriously flooding. 2 guys were in an elevator when it started flooding. 6 feet of water in the elevator, 1 foot of breathable air. Police had to go to the basement, swim through it, find a crowbar, and pry open the elevator doors to rescue the men.

Sad thing is he doesn't realize Trudeau wasn't trolling him. He was just being a welcoming/nice guy. aka, Canadian.

Here in Canada, we don't always have great connectivity in stores in big malls, either due to overloaded cell towers, poor reception, or the mall is underground.. And not all stores offer free WiFi. So for many, they couldn't 'just' bring up a digital receipt.

My experience in a programming class, ~80 students, 3 females total: Professor reaming out the males in the class because a "FEMALE did better than all of you on the midterm." Then handed me my midterm. Continued with the sexist bullshit entire term. Encouraged harassment.

Now that's class. Family displaced from their home by the Bruce McArthur investigation. Reporter asked the family (who was packing up their car with items): 'How has this affected you?' Owner says 'We'll talk about it, but now is not the time to talk about our problems.'

Even worse, here in Canada, they paid like $5 for a million litres of water, and kept a town from getting the water they needed to survive.

My sis has a history of GBS and got her covid shots. The first, her arm blew up like crazy (ala allergy shots), the 2nd she was just exhausted more than usual. Sucked, but didn't trigger a relapse. ๐Ÿ‘

There's a few reasons for that. Mandatory yearly refresher courses in use of force, and a conviction against an officer in the death of Sammy Yatim.
