At 102 years old, my great aunt, born the year of our last great #pandemic, made her way to the ballot box to cast her #vote. If she can do it, you can too! #Vote #VoteEarly #Election2020

Left the hospital today for the final time as a #trainee. 12 years of medical training is officially done! ✅ Grateful to the village of family, friends, mentors, mentees and sponsors who helped me get here. Next up: Assistant Professor of Medicine @NUFeinbergMed!

This is her mom. With deep roots in South Carolina, Aunt Ora knows the value of the #Vote. For her and for all of us, please please please #Vote.
My great grandmother, pictured here, was born in 1887. She passed away at 105 when I was 5 years old. Her mother was enslaved. #Juneteenth is a celebration that honors their legacy as we’re still fighting for freedom. #HappyJuneteenth

This little Black boy from South Carolina grew up to become a chief fellow at one of the best cardiology programs in the country. #DreamBig, littles ones. You have an army of supporters behind you who will help you achieve your goals. #BlackMenInMedicine

Been waiting for the day when I could post this meme in all its glory. Those sweet words “It is a pleasure to accept your manuscript...” make it all worth it. Never. Give. Up. on your work!

Have you ever had an experience that just takes your breath away? This happened to me at the barbershop a few months ago. Grateful to @PalliativeMed_j for providing a venue to reflect on the things we carry. #NarrativeMedicine @gradydoctor tinyurl.com/y9yl6h73
