You ever read one book and feel like you are an expert on its topic? You’re not. Stop it.

Stop accepting the lie that academia—especially legal academia—is full of liberals and leftists. Academia is the domain of ideological centrists and political pragmatists. And law school is the methodological training ground for literal conservatism and bothsidesism. 🤷🏾‍♀️

You know what they call a lawyer who took the bar 2 times before passing? A lawyer. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Congrats @BlaineWHardaway Esq.

Took my kids to the laundromat as a cross-class experience. It cost $75 to wash and dry our clothes (exclusive of detergent). Taxes on poverty imposed by the “free” market are unconscionable.

I spent a decade in BigLaw. I was never yelled at. People were nice. Unreasonable client demands were recognized as such and shared equitably. Partners cared about me as a person. We (mostly) represented (mostly) decent businesses, banks, and countries. We did pro bono 🙌🏾

Accepting this reading would mean the people in power get to decide for the people who are oppressed how to speak. That’s a problem. That’s not ok. Why do they have to confirm to your reading but you don’t have to even listen to them?

This shows how politicized the notion of “gender affirming” care has become and how invisibilized, naturalized, and internalized gender policing is. Even if waxing is not gender affirming for this woman, it’s OBVIOUSLY gender affirming in general.

Teaching legal writing is the lord’s work. Seriously. Even more than clinicians legal writing professors do thankless, status-less work that should be recognized as the *only* absolute requirement of law school. It’s literally the only thing that is nonnegotiably foundational. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Today in class a student said “.... taxpayer money...” and I looked at the class and said, “public money.... this very little nothing to do with what we are learning right now, but it’s public money.”

No shade. But I’d really like to see fewer law professor tips/tricks/solidarity angst and more law professors making it so law school isn’t the kind of toxic environment that requires tips/tricks/solidarity angst. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I feel your pain. I was so out classed at water aerobics by women 40 years my senior that they were dismissive in the locker room and I never went back. Stay strong!

There is so much bad here. But one that really peeves me are the non-accommodating accommodations. I get so many students who are comfortable revealing their disability to me only to learn that their accommodation is totally irrelevant/unhelpful/harmful to their disability.

, real question: Why on earth is your political strategy to make ppl angry? Shouldn't good choices, not alienation, = goal
