It would seem that, in response to my tagging @UMInsight to highlight sloppy reporting, the owners have simply deleted the account on X. A strange response from an entity that postures itself at seeking honesty, integrity, and transparency. I didn't hound them...

There is a way to have interesting and worthy conversations about how the bible is true. There are thoughtful ways to engage the text around verses that seem to stand in contradiction to one another. But the snide dismissals of inerrancy aren't the way to go...

Hey so @UMInsight published a piece saying that people and churches that disaffiliate are akin to Hamas terrorists. I found the piece a little problematic, so I read through it and offered a counterpoint: Wait, Disaffiliators are Terrorists?

Cynthia, you need to read it again. It definitely has an us/them framework, and it explicitly uses metaphors that are drawn directly from the news cycle around Hamas. I’m not very bright, but this is pretty obvious. The article was in very poor taste to write or publish.
