Why should I love my neighbor? - “because God said so” is a valid argument. That is because moral goodness is not a standalone universal, it is relational and any moral system not rooted in our relationship with our Creator is going to be disordered.

I think the best way to use AI in this situation is to write the paper yourself then have AI mark and critique it without actually editing it for you. Then you do a rewrite and have it re-marked, etc., until it gets a good review.

To determine proportionality I would ask how many people the terrorists would have killed if they had been permitted to do so. Answer: all Israelis. I would also ask how many hands were on the knife. Answer: as many people in Gaza as danced in the streets when news of the raid

Whenever I get called over to fix something for our female tenants I bring my daughter with me, if possible. Boundaries are important. In this case it’s for their sake, not mine.

I never bought into the Covid narrative nor had a road to Damascus moment. I began with an attitude of reasonable skepticism and no evidence materialized that was sufficient to overcome it. I think what disarmed most reasonable persons’ defences what the atmosphere of urgency.
