Entering this fall, our catchers made a collective decision as a unit to make some changes (stances, glove position, glove movements, etc.) to improve our receiving value. Using trackman data, along with @643charts, we have been able to directly track our progress. Thread ⬇️

- Cannot thank everyone who has helped me reach this point as I am proud to announce I will be joining the @utahbaseball staff later this week! I can't wait to get to Salt Lake City and get to work!
- Glove tempo and timing is key in receiving. Being early to the bottom can, at times, cause stagnation in rhythm. Depending on the athlete, it can cause inefficiency in glove patterns, like you will see below. Here's a new rhythm we have been working on with @colinblanchardd

- In 2020, @JaydenKiernan transitioned away from the traditional "2 Knee" blocking technique to almost exclusively blocking on one knee. We experimented and found he felt more athletic and actually recovered from the ground at a better rate from the one knee block.
