We use our Jr Hack to work on our DP 6-4-3 pivots. 3 Bags 3 different feed locations 3 different paces. 1= Drop step/feed off of RT shoulder. 2= Neutral step/feed right over bag. 3= Crossover step/feed out side Lt shoulder. Ideal underhand feed to Left peck/Shoulder of 2B.

This is a skill that Husky infielders practice and have the freedom to do. With shifting and non traditional spacing touch feeds can become difficult. Bounce feeds eliminate this. Things to think about. Playing surface matters. Turf v natural, Wet v Dry etc. #CreativeFreedom

Love to use visuals and props to help players understand the space they have to work in. How to stay tight but safe while turning a DP. How to be quick but not hurry. Efficiency over quickness=Best chance at 2.

@Coachsutty brought this ST. Helped our 1B to understand when to have an aggressive glove action and when to sit or retreat. This paired up with good left foot timing and pocket presentation allowed our 1B to clean up their pick game. Every good infield is anchored by a great 1B

When the weather in bad outside and you only have a small space. You need to get creative. Here is a drill we do for eye hand coordination and foot control. Multiple skills at same time. #FridayFielders.

Had a little fun today and ramped up our 3Bag 6-4-3 pivot drill with our Jr Hack @Sports_Attack. By picking up the pace of the drill with multiple player it forces them to 1. Stay focused 2. To be more creative with pivot(less predictable)3. Compete and have fun. #FridayFielders

One of my favorite Quotes of the weekend @ABCA1945. “If a flower does not bloom. We change the environment in which it grows. Not the flower.”

There is real pride in seeing your guys take their practice into the game. Tags on stolen base attempts is a high priority skill for Husky infielders. It’s our job to record the out. With pre catch body manipulation to narrow the catch to tag distance.
