- Silver linings Oregon...silver linings. 🤯 #orwx*FALLING IGUANAS* possible this weekend in Southwest Florida as the coldest air of the season moves in Sunday morning. We have a pretty sizable iguana population from Sanibel to Cape Coral to Naples. Locally, lows will dip into the 40s, wind chills in the 30s by sunrise. 🥶🦎
- Turns out this morning's closure of US 97 north of Kent was due to a banana truck fire. We're very grateful that everyone is okay, and personally, I'm a little surprised to share that this is the third flaming banana truck of my career. 😮
- Say you’re driving and when a large tree begins to fall...you catch it all on your #dashcam. 😮 That’s what happened yesterday to one of our incident responders. #Thankful one was hurt! @ORStatePolice and a logging crew helped this not become an hours-long traffic incident.
00:00 - We're using plows to clear downed trees on the Historic Columbia River Highway so fire crews can continue to fight #EagleCreekFire
00:00 - An employee linked to an offensive Facebook post is on leave while we investigate. We take this matter very seriously and very personally. The comment doesn't reflect our agency values and is disturbing and hurtful. Thank you for your patience as we complete the investigation.
- We're aware of a post that has been rapidly circulating through social channels espousing views offensive & abhorrent to the values of our agency. There is an active investigation into the matter. Thank you to those who have shared your concerns and we take this matter seriously
- This #ToyStory was found on SB I-5 at #BurnsideBridge. We think they may have been on their way to Pizza Planet, but we're not exactly sure how they got there. Crews have taken them to our north #Portland maintenance yard for care, cuddles and feeding. #PDXtraffic
- Our crews from the Gorge sent these pics. Underneath there is I-84. 😳 I-84 remains closed EB and WB from MP 17 near #Troutdale to MP 64 near #HoodRiver due to extreme winter weather including whiteout conditions & multiple crashes. Expect a lengthy closure. #orwx #pdxtst
- I-5 is open and ready for #PDXtraffic after crews used the full weekend closure to demolish and replace the I-5 bridge deck over SW 26th Ave. in #Portland. Thanks for your patience during this closure! 🧡 @PortlandGov @PBOTinfo @wsdot_sw @multco @VancouverUS @trimet #VanWA
00:00 - Incredibly frustrating footage showing just how bad the problem of people passing our plows on the right is. TripCheck camera of I-5 northbound going into #Portland near Macadam. #PDXtraffic #PDXtst #orwx #DontCrowdThePlow
00:00 - I-84 will stay closed in both directions Friday between Troutdale and Hood River (exits 17 to 64). Freezing rain, ice, snow, wind; the gang's all here, and making it unsafe to travel. See tripcheck.com for the latest updates.
00:00 - #Portland & the #ColumbiaRiverGorge could get up to half an inch of ice. Be aware: We're preparing to close I-84 in the Gorge before conditions become unsafe to prevent motorists from getting stranded in the ice. #orwx #pdxtst
