Looks like some Iranian backed militia may have taken it upon themselves to try to declare war between Iran and the US. If there are US dead, I’d expect a significant reply of overwhelming nature.
This is, fundamentally, the opposite of how the American system works.
The Congress decides *what* to do.
The President decides *how* to do it (not if)
The Judiciary decides *if* the method or the action itself is allowable.
That’s how checks and balances works.
Calling Kyiv is normal International practice. Your refusal to do so is counter to long standing US Policy on adhering to country derived spellings upon request.
Whatever chance Palestine had, it’s damaged severely
Whatever chance Hamas had, it’s gone entirely.
I hope and pray that Israel doesn’t raze the entirety of Gaza to the ground… but they absolutely can, with zero way for anyone to stop them.
China already knows war is on the horizon and is acting like it
The U.S. is finally waking up and acting upon it, but is far behind the needed curve
Europe is so asleep they may actually be in a irreversible coma, even with the Russian threat
It’s not a good trend for the West
I honestly think the party is a bit disconcerted by how disorganized and disconnected the Kremlin appears to be. The Chinese have high expectations on Russian state control, as they have, and when it’s not met it’s a serious concern of having trusted too much
The worst take is when people think this looks like someone that didn’t practice.
It’s basically a sure thing that he did, based on the observable signatures.
One of the only things we can know for near certain, is that he wasn’t surprised by the need to rack each round
That’s not how artillery works. It’s very rare that artillery directly hits anything, but it throws massive rings of high speed fragmentation. The hit towards the end in the firing line likely shredded most the equipment on the line. It even cooked off pallet ammo
This is so incorrect and demonstrates such a misunderstanding of the laws and realities of war that it’s, frankly, surprising and borderline impressive
The pipeline contract feeding the dissenting members of NATO expires at the end of 2024, with Ukraine wanting to control flow. The metering station lies within Sudzha. Maybe not a primary goal, but a damn good secondary.
