- UPDATE: Last night we responded to reports of juveniles exchanging gunfire on Mayberry Avenue. One arrest has been made, no injuries reported. This remains an active investigation. Violence like this will not be tolerated.
00:00 - Around 6 p.m., officers responded to reports of two subjects shooting at each other on Mayberry Ave. The subjects fled on foot. A perimeter is in place. Four people are detained as we work to determine if others are involved. No injuries reported. Active investigation.
- Both south bound lanes of Sumter Blvd south of I-75 are closed due to a crash. Please avoid the area if possible. Major delays at this time.
- Around 8 p.m., officers responded to the 8200 block of Osbert Ave. for a reported gunshot victim. The suspected shooter is detained, and the victim was airlifted with critical injuries. Those involved are known to each other, no threat to the public. More info Monday.
- We had an awesome time at our annual Protect & Serve night at Buffalo Wings & Rings on Wednesday night. A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out, and of course, Wings & Rings! Together, we raised over $2,600 for our Shop with a Cop program & kids in need this holiday season!
- This weekend we reflect & remember Patrolman First Class Dennis Gonthier, ID #130. Though it’s been a decade, he is never forgotten. His memory lives on in the hearts of his brothers & sisters at NPPD, who remember & miss him often. We honor him & keep his family in our thoughts.

- On scene of a traffic crash at Toledo Blade & Price Blvd involving a bucket truck. The truck struck the traffic lights at this intersection, causing lights & wires to break. The entire intersection is closed at this time. Please avoid the area or expect delays.
