I can’t even begin to describe how ridiculous you sound.

I’m a confused Brit, they sound American but aren’t filling him with bullets. I thought that was standard procedure there?

Disabled, chronically ill cancer survivor here. More distressing than that? Being called lazy even though I work overtime in pain and exhaustion and barely afford food. My parents paid all their rent and bills on part time hours and could afford a foreign holiday every year.

It’s a bad lesson to teach children that all actions of love have a price. I’d rather my son grow up knowing that people do things and give things purely because of generosity and kindness. Of course he still knows about how money works and I teach him not to be wasteful though.

I also have UC and got fired for repeatedly taking bathroom breaks “without permission”. Another lady also got fired the same day for the same reason, she had bladder cancer. Ironically it was the same day the company announced they’d need to make some people redundant...

Transition (social or medical) and detransition are valid. But I think calling yourself genderqueer for 2 months then changing your mind can safely be called experimenting with gender identity and not a transition. Experimentation should be encouraged, not demonised for profit.

If you read the story you’ll see her condition has already triggered the menopause so even if she kept her womb she couldn’t have children. That’s what makes the doctors refusal even more absurd!

Same. I don’t even have my pronouns in my bio any more but the amount of TERFs who still automatically assume I’m a trans woman just because I support trans rights is unreal 🤦 and twitter never even sees the threats of mutilation as going against their rules!

Yeah this is true. It’s never about how smart or creative you are, it’s all about how to answer the exams in the way they want you to.

As the disabled older daughter whose mother remarried and had a healthy daughter, these types of comments cut deep. I too would’ve liked to be celebrated for athletic achievements, attending prom, not being in and out of hospital, having 100% attendance, being “vibrant” etc.

I was trying to find a polite way of saying exactly this, but honestly? After cancer left me infertile I think she should just go feck herself 🤷‍♀️

A customer complained to a manager because I got a nosebleed in front of her and had to quickly excuse myself, I was visibly pregnant at the time. Some customers just want us to stop being human 🤷‍♀️ if she was polite she would’ve got free stuff, instead she was asked to leave!
