If you want to resolve issues cooperatively and collaboratively you do not issue a public letter on Twitter to generate headlines. Instead you roll your sleeves up and do the hard work out of the public eye to get things done.

We could do a lot with ยฃ2 billion in North Lincolnshire to better peopleโ€™s lives. Come to think of it ยฃ2 billion would buy a lot of nurses, doctors and equipment for the NHS. Politics is always about choices and just now the Govt is making the wrong choices.
ยฃ2.1 billion, much of which is not new, to minimise utterly unnecessary disruption & decline caused by an unmandated government policy. With most public services already horribly strained. You have to write it down sometimes to properly appreciate the depth of the madness.

As true now as it was then. Well said Harold!
Harold Wilson on the EEC 'The lead Britain can give rests on the fact that we are a world-minded people. Britain will give a lead in political attitudes and political developments in Europe. We cannot do that by taking our bat home and sinking into an off-shore island mentality'

Tory Government cut funding to home insulation and that meant a programme inherited from @UKLabour came to an end in 2012. Itโ€™s Conservative Governments that have caused this cost of living crisis to be as bad as it is.

I've been to Scunthorpe. I've met the steel workers. I know how important steel is to the whole country. We will act to secure Britain's future. With British steel: made in Britain, in the national interest.

It was a shame I did not get to ask my question about the Loan Charge I will Cary on campaigning for a fresh look at this @LCAG_2019
Today was due to be #TreasuryQuestions but this wonโ€™t happen due to prorogation. 5 MPs had #LoanCharge questions on the order paper, thanks @NicDakinMP @neill_bob @SeemaMalhotra1 @HughGaffneyMP @andreajenkyns. We need an immediate suspension & review independent of Govt & #HMRC.

    Replying to @Peston and @Keir_Starmer
In the end @UKLabour governments have a track record of making things better 4 people. But can only do that from a position of economic strength. And of course they also need to win an election The alternative, lest we forget, is more Tory Government favouring the rich @ powerful
