Canโt stop thinking about my old robot vacuum that did this to itself every morning

- I am a connoisseur of weird robot vacuum issues, because they all seem to get at least one thing slightly wrong, but this might be my favorite. I discover this happened almost every morning.
- I may never fully get over the โvolume knobโ on Ford electric car entertainment systems, which is just a fake โfingerโ running on a set of bearings they epoxy directly onto the big display.
- Replying to @NathanBLawrenceThereโs a โunit tests vs. production environmentโ metaphor in here somewhere
- Replying to @EmilyKagerThereโs a lot to pick on here but โnubileโ really stands out as head and shoulders above everything
- Iโm assuming this is what the new button was built for.
00:00 - Replying to @blip_tmI also think that if you are obsessed with how no women like you and believe this is symptomatic of some kind of โdestruction of cultureโ thatโs such an all consuming belief you donโt have time/energy to thrive in other ways.
- Replying to @NathanBLawrenceA personal favorite: "Xcode now pins elements of your code structure to the top of the editor as you scroll through a document. To toggle this behavior, use 'Show: Code structure while scrolling' in Xcodeโs Text Editing preferences." This particularly helps with large files.
00:00 - Replying to @jpbrammerโA reporter canโt just walk up to a politician and ask a question like that!โ Why the fuck not? Itโs their job to answer tough questions from the people theyโre supposed to serve.
- I love text/code editors. The first Mac app I ever wrote (with the very dev tools you see here!) was a text editor, and I've always wanted to work on one as a "grown-up." Well, at the end of August, I'll get to do that โ I'll be starting work at Apple on the Xcode Source Editor.
- UX tip: When this happens, you have to solve it, even if you donโt feel like itโs your fault.
- Replying to @DiannetheWriterIf I were them, I would have just said, โwhat you do is your business, we canโt enforce anything, but this is really about getting yourself in the habit of personal expression, and you will not get anything out of it if you arenโt the one expressing yourself.โ
- Replying to @NathanBLawrence and @jpbrammerIf itโs about losing access, letโs make it public. Letโs show the world these people are so petty theyโll cut the news off for asking a question they donโt like.
- Replying to @fcbunn @alexjprice and @netflixI guess they must have used the same web service for whatever the last Netflix app working on iOS 5 was and the DVD version of Netflix for Wii? I donโt imagine very many people get to experience this error. Kinda neat.
