    1/ It took me three tries to register to vote in Texas. I set out to look into the root of the problem. I found that Texas’ paper-based system leaves too much room for error, in some cases disenfranchising voters. My latest investigation for @VotbeatUS:

    .@GovAbbott today vetoed a bill that would have improved voting access for people with disabilities. It would have allowed people to mark their ballots privately and securely. I expect the Governor to explain to voters why he did it.

    These are all Acuña, Mexico residents who came to bring food, water, clothes to Haitian migrants. I kept hearing “Andale que vaya bien” and “Dios te cuide” from these families to Haitian people this evening.
