    It is with great sadness we share the news that Julie Haigh, our digital midwife, passed away on Christmas Day. Julie was a well-known member of staff making digital maternity records a reality for women in north Cumbria. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues.

    Today, colleagues observed one minute’s silence to mark the sad loss of an agency staff nurse. Our thoughts are with his children and family at this very sad time. At the Cumberland Infirmary staff ended the silence with applause in an emotional occasion for the organisation.
