I actually think she took a smart approach to it: how can you claim to love our troops and vets, who survive off our tax dollars, if you don't pay them.
It's only reinforcing stereotypes with people who inevitably cling to stereotypes. It's exhausting for black people to have to constantly accept abuse and not bite back because finger waggers who don't deal with racism are worried about 'the greater good.' I'm fine with this
It all mattered. If a family is hanging off a cliff by a rope and ten people slowly pull them up, does it matter who pulled the hardest? Does it matter how much they get paid to pull?
Today is National Adoption Day. When I was 14 years old and very troubled these two lovely human beings welcomed me into their home and raised me as their own. It gave me a new lease on life. I am forever grateful to Walter and Rose Willis ❤️RIP #NationalAdoptionDay
