We are a lab studying the role of mitochondrial redox biology in health and disease.
- We need to talk about MitoSOX... There are a number of issues with MitoSOX/hydroethidine as "superoxide" probes. One approach from Richard Hartley's lab and mine is to use MitoNeoD/NeoD. Give it a go and let us know if it works for you. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
- Delighted to see this - it represents a painstaking development of. a method by Fay Allen, overseen by Andrew James. This will hopefully be useful to the field - in metabolomics speed of isolation is (nearly...) everything... FEBS Press

- It's Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week Hopefully our work will help to develop treatments for these. This also reminds us of the many other widespread disorders where mitochondrial dysfunction has an impact diabetes, ageing, neurodegeneration, heart attack, hypertension...
