I'd still be an @marcusdomask fan if he stunk this year. But he sure didn't stink. Neither did his team. That he and his basketball lifer family got to experience college basketball at its highest level is a great story I'll never forget. Congrats, Marcus, and all Domasks!

Thanks for reading my thoughts on SIU moving on from basketball coach Bryan Mullins...

So sad to learn-and relay-the news that @SIU_Basketball Hall of Fame basketball coach Rich Herrin died last night. Sympathy and prayers to his large, loving family. A Southern Illinois icon. His mark on @SIUSalukis, Saluki basketball, @SIUC and @salukiradio is indelible. Sad.

Wow. I knew @IlliniBaseball Coach Dan Hartleb would be in So. Ill. tonight for a speaking engagement. I did not know he would give me a ring from the Illini's 2024 B10 Championship season! I only broadcast 11 games. I am so thankful for this classy move and stunned! @DanHartleb

My 43rd year of calling @SIU_Football (490 games), @SIU_Basketball (1,292 games) and @SIU_Baseball (lost count!) is complete. Big thanks to players, coaches, @salukiradio sponsors, @Learfield, @SIUC, broadcast colleagues, & (most of all) you the listener. I so appreciate you!

Not only did @SIU_Basketball need the win at Butler, but I think @SIUSalukis Athletics and @SIUC, as a university, needed it, too. A performance like that on national cable TV?!! So helpful. Basketball can play a big part in an SIU turnaround. Everything is needed. Let's go!

I say it because I believe it: What the ex-pitcher said sure as hell hasn't been tolerated by Saluki Athletics and the SIU I've known on a daily basis since 1975. Nor is it tolerated now.

.@SIU_Football's #4 ranking in both FCS polls this week is its highest ranking since it was #4 on September 6, 2010. That was the week after Saluki Stadium opened. The Dawgs are home this Saturday at 2 vs. North Dakota. @salukiradio

Received this tremendous surprise today from Coach @17NickHill and @SIU_Football! So appreciative. He was part of the program for 12 of the 44 years, so it is great he presented it. Thanks, Nick, and thanks, Saluki Football! Go Dawgs.
