We lost a great human being. A great man of faith. A great Husband, Father and Coach that positively impact EVERYONE he came in contact with during his life. Mark was a champion everyday of his life. We will miss him greatly.
Mark Allen impacted countless student-athletes and people through his baseball journey. The Illinois famILLy was lucky to have him on our staff. Our love and thoughts are with his family. FightingIllini.com/MarkAllen

We lost a Legend. I lost my mentor. As a former player and coach I have been blessed to have had Itch in my life for 40 years. He was a true champion. I would not be where I am today without his guidance. A second father and the best human I have ever been around.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Lou Henson. From day one as a young coach he treated me like he had known me for a lifetime. A kind, gentle, first class human being. We lost a legend in our coaching family. Lou will be missed!
