- @wischlist Word is Cuonzo Martin is out at Mizzou. Needless to say, Josh Whitman made the right call in hiring Brad Underwood a few years ago.
- Update on my dad. He’s out of the procedure from an earlier heart attack, and is doing better. I talked with him this evening and he’s in real good spirits as he begins the recovery. I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers.
- As I always say, an ugly win is better than a pretty loss. Looks like the Illini will escape Northwestern with the victory

- Just found out that my dad was rushed to the hospital this afternoon with a heart attack. He's having a procedure done at this moment and we'll know his prognosis this evening. Please keep me and my family in your prayers.
- Update on my dad. I was able to talk with him yesterday afternoon. He's feeling much better. Still in the hospital but his prognosis is good. I appreciate everyone's kind prayers and thoughts yesterday.
- I've been reading the posts critical of four private schools winning IHSA state football championships yesterday - with three more likely today. If you don't like the playoff system, make proposals. But don't take away from the kids who won; let them enjoy their special moment.
- Both @FriarGirlsVB & @NazVball are first-class programs. The Roadrunners waited for the Friars to emerge from the locker room after the match to salute Fenwick coach Kathleen O'Laughlin, who is retiring. What a classy gesture, something @JakeBartelson would appreciate.

- Glenbard West is just putting on an absolute clinic against Whitney Young - and that's putting it nicely. The Hilltoppers are one of the best Illinois high school teams I've seen in my lifetime.
