    Sorry if I sound like a doomer on this stuff but I am SO freaked out by how quickly smart people have become reliant on ChatGPT. I know an Oxford STEM graduate working in medical research who just learnt that ChatGPT straight-up invented the academic references she was sharing.

    I've been hearing for two years that AI improves itself constantly and it's going to put us all out of a job any day now and anyone who's sceptical of it is just a Luddite who's ignorant or scared or resentful of it. I'm just aware that it's shit! It churns out shit!

    My favourite thing about Hozier fandom is that 95% of the fans are like "prince of the fae! forest sprite! ancient bog ghost!" and all of the Irish fans are like "lol hipster Trinity drop-out. my friend met him drunk in the Workmans once. yeah he's sound tho"

    False advertising, I went into my Master's like "I wanna know more about what languages were spoken in different countries in the Medieval period :)" and I came out of it unable to define either "language" or "country"
