What a wonderful community ride on the safe streets of Streatham Wells.
Meeting neighbours and new friends for the first time.
This would have been impossible a month ago.
A child and their parent happily cycling home from after school club along Leigham Court Road.
The Streatham Wells LTN has given them a safe route to and from school 🙏
Thank you @lambeth_council
"We don't live in the LTN. I found it nerve-wracking cycling on Valley Rd with kids on our bike before. It's now so much safer. We use the LTN to help them learn to ride because it feels like a safe space. We want to remain car free and this is helping us!" #storiesfromtheLTN
3 months since the LTN was suspended here.
Now we just have a continuous stream of cars
Not a peep from the council. Not a peep from TfL
Remind us how we're being encouraged to walk and cycle in this?

Come rain or shine, Valley Road and the rest of Streatham Wells are now OPEN FOR CYCLING FOR EVERYONE 🚲🌧️☀️🎉
Just look at what is made possible by taking out the thousands of rat running cars using these streets to avoid the main roads
Sunday lunch in Streatham. The only difference now is that there are no safe routes in the side roads. What are you going to do about this mess @TfL@lambeth_council@clairekholland ?
"We've totally changed our behaviour since the LTN. We have a car but use it so much less, I cycle to work, choose a lime bike or walk to the gym, we walk our dog to the common. I hear birds singing on our streets and when I cycle home at night I feel safe"
#StoriesFromTheLTN

1 person - 47 cars
2 people - 18 cars
3 people - 3 cars
4 people - 0 cars
5 people - 0 cars
Efficient use of roadspace?
A street transformed.
From daily jams and accidents for 10k cars a day to a calm and happy place for children to cycle to school
Low traffic neighbourhoods are amazing
