I’m sorry, if Sam Levinson came into my office and said he couldn’t deliver another season of a basic high school drama for another 3+ years, I’d simply fire him on the spot

And the amount of people saying “What was his plan?” as if the “explode monster from the inside” schtick hasn’t been used constantly for ages?

SCOTUS telling cops they have no legal duty to protect civilians is absolutely in the Top 5 Most Evil Rulings and it isn’t talked about nearly enough.

they’re at the point of “women desiring safe casual sex” being “a tool of the patriarchy;” making the exact same arguments as Purity Culture but acting like they’re progressive and feminist

Like, this is almost certainly a formal “reward” for the students. Kids getting to do embarrassing things to the principal like shaving or dying their hair to celebrate the end of the year is pretty common.

Exactly! It’s insane. Stella Liebeck should be remembered as a folk hero for actually managing to beat McDonalds and force safer business practices. Instead, 20 years after she’s passed, the internet is still using her as a punchline to bully other consumers who try to stand up.

Y’all are living in another reality. Netflix absolutely has trouble keeping its shows relevant, but Stranger Things most certainly does not have that problem.

Wild how we’ve all just accepted that all of our lives must be made collectively worse off in order to ensure the unhoused are denied any degree of safety or comfort.

Can we stop pretending like The Whale is offensive because it portrays an overweight person with real problems, physical and mental? Acting like every character from a marginalized group must be “positive representation” for an entire demographic is so toxic.
