I hope a formal complaint has been made to @IpsoNews, as potential breach of Editor’s Code of Practice under clause 12. Clarkson is clearly inciting hatred but women remain vulnerable, as we are not protected from this extreme misogyny in law.

- This is an excellent appointment. @jessphillips has worked tirelessly to tackle violence against women and girls and has been one of the strongest advocates for family court reform. Great to have her in this role.
00:00- This is a dangerous decision for a social media platform, and will have serious implications for victims - especially those being stalked - and their safety. Enabling blocked users to see posts is catering to abusers and stalkers, indulging and facilitating their behaviours
- ‘Stacey’ was not 10 when ‘she lost her virginity’, she was 10 when she was raped. She didn’t ‘enter the world of gangs’, she was groomed & exploited. If we don’t name it, we can’t tackle it @ICOnews @SarahChampionMP @childrensociety
- Jack’s dad David has been told to ‘grieve silently ‘ - in response, please share his brilliant piece written with such clarity at a time of such immense pain. May his voice get louder & may we listen & learn.
- “Women must have the confidence that crimes, domestic violence and sexual abuse, are treated seriously ..” said @BorisJohnson last year. However, not suspending an MP accused of rape while investigations are ongoing conveys a different message.
- Overwhelming silence and disbelief for the women raped and tortured on October 7th. On November 25th, how can we talk about eliminating violence against women & girls if we are tacitly saying it’s acceptable to rape Jewish ones? #MeToo_UNless_UR_a_Jew
- Since lockdown started, France have had 2 domestic homicides & their Government is putting domestic violence victims in hotel rooms & funding pop-up counselling centres in grocery stores. We have just had 10th domestic homicide. What are we doing? @patel4witham @RobertBuckland
- Victims do not like having their trauma exploited by people who don’t understand their needs and use them to push their own agenda. It’s re-victimising. If you want to call for changes on behalf of victims, you must work with them and listen to them first.
- The man who stalked me for 19 years was sentenced to a measly 16 months in jail today for multiple breaches of a lifetime restraining order.I’ll be giving my reaction next wk to @vicderbyshire @BBCNewsnight , & discussing how to transform the way the justice system treats victims
- Yesterday I met another rape survivor. It will be FOUR years by the time she gets to court. Her CJ journey has been nothing short of appalling. Each part of our disjointed, complex and delayed justice process has failed her. She said it has broken her more than the rape. 1/2
- I advise some rape victims to talk to their MP if they’re dissatisfied in the way case is handled. Now I have to think twice as I could be referring vulnerable victim to a rape suspect. If they won’t suspend, he must not be allowed contact w/ constituents thetimes.co.uk/article/mp-in-…
- As sentencing in Sarah Everard’s case commences today it is important we support survivors who may be deeply affected by new details coming to light. Please reach out to support networks, friends and family - and hold Sarah’s loved ones in your thoughts at this terrible time.
