- Effective today, I have authorized members of your @LAFD to wear @Dodgers ball caps on duty until the end of the #WorldSeries (which we will win)
- Effective immediately your @LAFD members may wear @RamsNFL caps while on duty! We’ll switch them out for @SuperBowl Champion caps on Feb. 3rd.
- As of this morning, 3 @LAFD firefighters have been released from the hospital. 8 still hospitalized, 2 critical, but all are expected to survive. The fire investigation is ongoing & we appreciate the amazing outpouring of support from near & far!
- I am profoundly grateful for & proud of the men & women of the @LAFD who responded to the Major Emergency fire Downtown this evening and I am hopeful that all 11 members who were injured are on the road to recovery. Thank you all for your support of our firefighters.
- Your @LAFD is in Earthquake Mode, with all 106 Neighborhood Fire Stations checking their areas for damage.
- If you are blocking our firefighters so they can’t answer calls for help, we have no tolerance for that type of behavior. It is wrong. If a loved one dies or a business is set on fire & we are blocked from getting there, it’s a dire, direct consequence. I ask you to be better.
- I never forget to pay my debts. Congratulations from the @LAFD to the @Patriots on their Super Bowl victory & my friend @ChiefJoeFinn & @BostonFire for standing with their team. Can’t wait to see what our @RamsNFL do next season!

- Very happy that only 1 @LAFD member remains hospitalized @LACUSCMedCenter after the Boyd Street Fire. He is in stable condition and beginning his recovery. Thank you all for the ongoing support, kind words & prayers for all of our firefighters.
- Take a look at our new #LAFD electric engine! It’ll be the 1st in the Nation! We are expected to take delivery by early May. It will be assigned to Hollywood’s Fire Station 82.
- Your @LAFD will work as long as it takes to make sure Angelenos are safe during the ongoing unrest in pockets of LA. We’re actively fighting structure fires and responding to EMS calls. We ask that Angelenos abide by the curfew so we can get our job done.
