- Replying to @Deuce1042He didn't have a super majority from the moment he took office. He had one for about 7 calendar months, from July 2009-Feb. 2010, and of course the Senate was only in session for part of that. Regardless, there were multiple members of his own party that didn't support MFA.

- Replying to @Deuce1042Half of his first calendar year, yes...but as I said, he had members of his own caucus/party ("moderates") that were against both MFA & a public option. The main ones being Lieberman, Baucus, Nelson, Lincoln, & Conrad. Public option proposals couldn't even get out of committee.
