I am delighted to confirm my appeal against New College Swindon has been accepted in the Employment Appeals Tribunal today on the following grounds: 1 - The college's gender reassignment policy was not properly considered. 2 - The college did seek to change my beliefs.

I represented myself because I had to, not because I wanted to. The NEU withdrew their support. My insurance company would not pay. And I didn't want to draw down on anyone else. I do not know what to say to all the teachers who are horrified about having to support this

I have had other teachers contact me over the holidays to say they are resigning rather than affirming student wishes to transition. This is happening in the midst of serious teacher shortages in key subjects. The education system is in free fall.

#NewCollegeSwindon reported me as a safeguarding risk to the DBS for not socially transitioning a student. I look forward to their safeguard managers, Ben Boyd and Tom Young, justifying this in the employment tribunal.

I have been barred by the DBS for not referring to a female as a male. I will pursue a judical review of this decision and my fund raiser has been updated accordingly. This overturning of governance by the rule of law is of concern to everyone
