Today Parliament passed the Rare Cancers Bill. This will lead to more focus for developing rare cancer drugs. In this job you have the privilege of turning personal grief into real change. I did that today speaking about losing my brother Alex to a rare cancer earlier this year.

Corporation tax is only paid on profits, Morrisons paid no corporation tax last year because it made a loss. Despite this it still paid over £1 billion in other taxes. Frank Hester who was alleged to have referred to his staff & Dianne Abbott in racist terms donated £10 million to the conservatives. His company got contracts from the Tory Government of over £100mil. Union donations are democratic and transparent. Sit this one out James

Trade Unions are made up of dinner ladies, nurses and cleaners and others in work. Their decisions to donate to the Labour party are democratically decided, open and accountable. I’d rather take their money than the likes of Frank Hester.

Ed Davey has a wife with MS & son with a disability. The Mail are attacking him for looking after his son when care fell through. I don’t share Ed’s politics, but we can’t complain politicians don’t understand struggles of others, then attack them for problems thousands face.

Surreal to see Iqbal Mohammed- Independent MP for Dewsbury - speak against Labour’s end to VAT tax breaks on private schools. Why on earth is the MP for Dewsbury standing up for the 7% of children at private schools not the 93% in state schools.
