250 HR + 250 SB is an elite club. He’s basically there. At 31, he has a realistic shot to get to 350/300. There are only 5 players in that club. Mays, Bonds, Dawson, A-Rod, and Beltran.

The 50-member selection committee should make public all of the ballots. What a shame. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has one of the lowest thresholds for enshrinement out of all major sports. Gates is first ballot in a sane world.
