    Only acceptable reasons to miss practice after age 14. -Hurt -Death in the family -Mandatory School assignment (not homework) -Extremely RARE Family event (Not a birthday or vacation) Being on a team is a commitment, it’s time we treated it like that again.

    I’m extremely disappointed in the direction that our game is going. The leadership is succumbing to people with the attention span of ants. This is about pure greed. The game is making plenty of money. There’s no need to change it as much as they are.

    Rob Manfred says there is “buzz” around adding a "Golden At-Bat" rule to Major League Baseball, per @jaysonst. This rule would allow a team to choose one at-bat in every game to use their best hitter regardless of where they're at in the lineup.

    I’m in our clubhouse (locker room) and it’s dead silent. I have 5 players in here early. THIS is why next season I’m banning cell phones in the clubhouse. I honestly believe this is hurting our kids communication skills.

    Parents, your 8 year old doesn’t need video hitting Analysis or Track Man, Rapsodo. Know what they do need? Dad Go play catch with them, tell them to get their butt down to catch a ground ball, set their feet to throw, get them a Tee to hit off of, throw BP, & get ice cream after

    Kid comes to me and says, “I’m a Shortstop.” Me: Great, go play left field. Kid looks at me confused I ask, do you want to play in college? Kid, Yes sir Me: Your 1st 2 years there will be upperclassman in front of you. If you want to play earlier, learn other positions.

    Hot Take: Homework from school is BS. You get 8 Hours a day to teach. Figure it out, let kids have more time for socializing, sports other extra activities and I know this is controversial…. QUALITY TIME WITH THEIR FAMILY.

    If I’m coaching there are only 3 reasons why your child isn’t playing. So you never have to ask, “Why is my child not playing? “ 1. There is a problem in the classroom - in that case the teacher should tell you. 2. There is a problem at my practice - in that case I’ll tell
