Why consider converting successful relievers to starters? Simple: The potential surplus value is massive. A good reliever (60-70 innings) = ~1.0 WAR ($8-9M value). That same pitcher as a starter (160-180 innings) could = 2-2.5 WAR ($20-22M value) 📈

If you throw ball 4 at 100mph there will be plenty of people trying to pay you money to throw more ball 4s.

    If you sit 100 and throw 80% strikes there’s a >50% chance you’re a top 5 pitcher in baseball.
WOULD YOU RATHER THROW: - 100 MPH with 80% accuracy - 80 MPH with 100% accuracy

100% pointless tweet but when I had abs and threw 81 with no offers I was sad. When I was fat and threw 97 I literally didn’t care about a single thing. Would signal pitches to hitters in my Juco games (don’t do this). Fueled by Oreos, chocolate milk and Deadlifts. #fatjohn

Next time anyone wants to trash an athlete for hitting the transfer portal remember this: Coaches ditch programs 6 weeks before start of the season and don’t even tell their players. Everyone on team found out he left through a tweet. Nice Work.
🚨BREAKING: Long-time former Ohio State HC Greg Beals, who was hired by Akron this past summer, is leaving to become the new head coach at @HerdBaseball, sources tell @d1baseball. Beals inherits a job with a new ballpark on the way and replaces Jeff Waggoner. #WeAreMarshall

Someone who got signed off throwing 100 into a net at a public park is now in the bigs. Just so you know.

In college we had a reliever who was the guy the year before hit 96-97 first big weekend 0 earned runs and no walks that day Came in the dugout, coach goes “hey man, that’s really not your game. You’re a 91-92 guy who hits corners” Dude listened Career was over 2 years later.

Every team in baseball that has no nerds and is all former players gets dominated. The nerds are here to stay, and they’re really not that bad. I kinda like em.
Dear baseball. Please remove all the nerds from our wonderful sport. Please replace them with qualified former players and veterans of the game…grown men who truly know the game. From, Everyone who is truly passionate about our game.

Sometimes I’ll see guys throwing fuel and wonder how they’re doing it. Sometimes it makes total sense. Spencer Strider throwing gas leaves me 0% confused. Nothing has ever made more sense. Quadzilla + Absurd Hip Mobility @SpencerSTRIDer

Here’s a video of a 35 year old CY Young winner working with a 24 year old as one of his coaches, in case you wanted to claim that your age is why your players don’t respect you.

It’s crazy that the baseball world saw this type of movement and came to the conclusion that bench press was a bad idea.

How to reveal you don’t know how 99% of power 5 programs operate in 1 singular tweet:
Not in the world of hurting people. But what has happened at Texas Tech University cutting 6 kids on August 2 and a Freshmen in the schools weight room just not cool.Tim Tadlock Head Coach at TT,obviously all about winning because he obviously doesn’t care about people.@d1baseball
