    I’m not crying..Six years ago I was pilloried by “progressive misogynists” for saying this in parliament. I refused to succumb to group think, fashion & the science denial that gripped - and still grips - institutions & political parties. Thank you @ForWomenScot 🥹

    I return to the case of nurse #sandiepeggie in @Sunday_Post today. Are management @nhsfife so deep in their ideological bunker they missed the Supreme Court ruling on sex between tribunal hearings? What else explains their wilful ignorance? Sharing column here as not online 👇

    My recent column 👇 in @Sunday_Post examined class bias in treatment of nurse Sandie Peggie..the tribunal opened today. Privileged doc “self-identified” as woman & immediately used female changing room. Working class nurse expressed discomfort & was suspended without question!

    Thread: Re Sex and the Census. For many individuals identity is very personal and important and the 2021 census will allow those people to express a trans identity for the first time. All good so far...

    ⁦Enormously significant judgement for feminism and free speech today in ⁦@MForstater⁩ case. Women who believe sex is real and question gender identity beliefs are protected under the Equality Act. Well done everybody who supported #istandwithmaya

    As someone who as been maligned and misrepresented simply for stating sex is real, I am enormously relieved by this judgement not just for @MForstater but for thousands of women who have been cancelled for expressing an opinion, however respectfully.

    Great piece by @DalgetySusan Despite 30 yrs unblemished NHS service, nurse Sandie Peggie was frogmarched out the door on sole word of a twentysomething privileged, male doc. Her offence? She stood up to him by calmly speaking the truth..,,👇

    If you have step in to deliver a £43bill national budget with almost no notice it helps if you have an impressive grasp of detail. Thank goodness then for the intelligent and fluent @KateForbesMSP - not yet thirty & the first woman to present the Scottish budget.. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💪⭐️

    @joannaccherry has been a fantastic justice and home affairs lead & a credit to Scotland. When I campaigned with her in Edinburgh in 2019 strangers stopped & asked to shake her hand. Here’s a reminder of the day she made history

    This is not true from Nicola Sturgeon. There is a group where the actions of a minority of individuals means the whole group lose rights - men. Most men don’t offend, but because a significant minority do, they all lose the “right” to share spaces where women are vulnerable.

    Nicola Sturgeon's core point from today's Q&A, on the trans prisons row - "there is no other group in society where we accept that the actions of an individual somehow forms a justification for taking away rights from the whole group, or not according rights to that group"

    But sex and identity are not the same thing and require separate questions. Biological sex is an important demographic variable needed to record & plan services and understand different population trends. @NatRecordsScot themselves say this
