- Whoa there, Trigger! Article 5, Section 1 gives them 30 days to cure this. Since they filed the same info before the canvassers started circulating petitions, I have a feeling they can rustle up the duplicate filing the General Assembly thinks is so crucial to the process. As I have long said, changing the Arkansas Constitution involves a rigorous process, as it should, and it requires sponsors to adhere to all applicable laws and rules. In this instance, the sponsors failed to follow the law, specifically a simple and straightforward affidavit
- I’m Jen Standerfer. I’m an attorney, a small business owner, and a mom, and I’m running to represent District 13 in the Arkansas State House of Representatives. 1/x
- Replying to @JenStanderferAnd the Constitution says WE have a right to speak and be heard. Many have asked how they can help. Here’s how: Sign the petitions you agree with. Don’t sign the ones you don’t. And don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t. arcitizens4transparency.org/calendar/ 2/2
- Today I officially filed to run for office. I am so grateful for this opportunity to represent my home district – the place I was raised, the place I’m raising my kids, and the place I want my roots to be. I love Bentonville, Rogers, Cave Springs & Centerton.
- 1. Unregulated crypto mining hurts Arkansans. 2.Voter registration should be easy and as accessible as my online banking. 3.Arkansans deserve answers when they ask government questions. (FOIA) When are politicians going to put Arkansans above power and games? #arpx
- If there’s not enough prison staff for the number of beds, riots happen. Contagious diseases become deadly. Mr. Magness has a fair bit of expertise on these things. Maybe we should listen to him.
- Last week, the Arkansas Supreme Court held that our local school boards have the power and authority to adopt policies intended to keep our children safe and schools open. They rejected the minority’s proposition that the only job of our schools is to educate. 1/x
- Listen to what he’s saying. He’s speaking from experience. Not a word that comes out of his mouth is about politics. It’s about truth.Asa Hutchinson loudly booed at the Florida Freedom Summit for telling the crowd that “there is a significant likelihood that Donald Trump will be found guilty by a jury on a felony offense next year.”
00:00 - We resubmitted shortly after close of business today and after reviewing the AG’s opinion with our committee. Arkansas’s done with big government. So we have as many legal responses in us as the government has objections.
- Our teachers ended last school year in the wake of Uvalde, considering how to stand between a bullet and our babies. They will begin this school year with a $1.6B surplus, a special session to spend it, and this letter from #arleg. #payARteachers #arpx
- Thanks to @ArkansasOnline and @nwademgaz for printing my thoughts on TN. #arleg has not gone this far, but the idea of removing elected dissenters has growing popularity in states like ours. What happened to @Justinjpearson @brotherjones_ and @VoteGloriaJ could happen here.
- Better yet, find a petition you agree with and tell our politicians what the people want. If you’re in my neck of the woods I have Government Transparency ready for you to sign.
- I meet voters where they are, even if that’s on the 3rd floor. I had no idea how many of you live on the 3rd floor!
